The Maxxis Ardent has an aggressive tread in a high volume casing that provides exceptional traction without compromising a low rolling resistance. Racers unforgotten, the Ardent features large block style side knobs with numerous edges for high speed cornering & a central tread that’s optimized to enhance both braking & acceleration, while the ramped knobs smoothen things out minimize rolling resistance. Further enhancing traction & speed is Maxxis’s Dual Compound which consists of two compounds used within the tread of select tires to offer lower rolling resistance & increased cornering grip.
This version of the Ardent is Tubeless Ready, meaning you get the benefits of a UST tubeless tire without the weight penalty. Maxxis Tubeless Ready tires use a standard casing & require the use of a liquid sealant in order to make them airtight. Maxxis Tubeless Ready tires are the only Maxxis tires approved for use with liquid sealants & using a liquid sealant in any non-TR Maxxis tire will void the warranty.

The Bicycle Hangar opened in March of 1980. We started with a dozen bikes and $500 in parts at 1803 Brooks. Today we operate out of two locations, 1801 Brooks, and 140 N Higgins, in Missoula. Today we carry brands such as Giant, Haro, Yeti, We The People, and Masi. All backed by FREE TUNE UPS FOR LIFE!

Exchange, Returns, and Refunds Policy

Please choose carefully before you buy.

For faulty products, The Bicycle Hangar offer a 14 DAY REPLACEMENT WARRANTY, from the date you receive your product. They do not offer a satisfaction guarantee on any of their products, however due to their high level of customer service, they will always endeavour to keep customers happy and satisfied.

If your product is faulty, it will be replaced with an identical product. If they cannot replace the product, they will offer you the option of choosing another product of the same value, or provide you with a refund for the total value of the faulty product.

Please note: Standard postage fees apply to all return orders. Where the return relates to a faulty item, the replacement product will be sent out to you, at no charge, within 5 working days from the date we receive the faulty product.

When returning your product, please make sure you provide the following details:

  • Your order number
  • Reason why you are returning the product
  • Your instructions informing us how you would like the issue resolved.
