The 24 hours of Moab Venue is very well laid out. It is about 10 miles outside of Moab. The course is called the “Behind the Rock Loop” because it snakes out and around and behind a big old Sandstone Rock. The course is sandy, packed sand, Rock. It is almost all doubletrack with some technical sections. There are a couple of really fun Downhill sections and way more climbing during the race than when we pre rode it.

Camping
The solo riders are given preference and allowed to camp right next to the course as the course leads out of the camp. The rest of the camping is in a very large field that is broken into two areas. One area for campers with generators and another area for every one else. It is nice to sleep without being next to a generator running if you don’t have one.

We picked a spot about a quarter mile from the start/check in station that was up against the mountain. We had a nice spot for a fire next to a big rock.
